      This 1965 Pontiac Tempest Le Mans was refinished in two-tone black over purple after the body was modified with a chopped roof, molded bumpers and cowl, and shaved door handles The custom-upholstered cabin is trimmed in black with molded interior panels painted to match the exterior Power comes from a 427ci Chevrolet V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and other features include staggered 17 inch and 18 inch wheels, a modified suspension, disc brakes, a B M shifter, a smoothed firewall, Flowmaster mufflers, a Holley carburetor, and digital gauges br br This modified GTO was acquired in 2020 and is offered with a clean Illinois title The body has been modified with a chopped roof, a molded cowl and bumpers, deletion of the drip rails, and shaved door handles The exterior was refinished in two-stage purple and black separated by painted orange pinstripes and a checkered flag motif that extends down the sides of the car between the two-tone paintwork A stainless-steel grille has also been added br br Polished 17 inch and 18 inch Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dog wheels are mounted with 225 50 front and 245 50 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires Braking is from discs all around, and the suspension is said to have received replacement shocks, springs, suspension bushings, ball joints, and tie-rods during the build Other modifications reportedly include br br Front Global West tubular control arms br Aftermarket front and rear sway bars br Rear air bags and springs br Rear Edelbrock boxed control arms br br The interior features custom upholstery on the front bucket seats and rear bench The dashboard and other interior panels have been molded and painted to match the exterior A Painless Wiring harness is installed along with a B M shifter The heater, wipers, glovebox, weatherstripping, and side windows have been removed br br The four-spoke Grant steering wheel is mounted on a 1973 Trans Am steering column and fronts a Nordskog digital instrument panel that displays readouts for speed, revs, volts, oil, water, and fuel Approximately 5,600 miles are said to have been added since the completion of the build True mileage is unknown br br The trunk has been boxed and carpeted, with a storage panel on the left It also houses the battery under a custom cover The underside of the trunk lid was also modified br br The 427ci big-block Chevrolet V8 is equipped with a polished intake manifold, dual-feed Holley carburetor, HEI ignition, a billet serpentine pulley system, and a matching finned air cleaner and valve covers A 2 5 exhaust with a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers is installed along with an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans The fuel system was also reportedly overhauled with a replacement tank, lines, and electric pump The radiator support was custom-built, and the firewall has been replaced with a smoothed and refinished panel The battery was recently replaced br br Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, and there is a leak from the transmission pan br
